The ICEPE series is the annual conference of NIT Meghalaya, organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering since 2015. The 8th edition of this flagship event will be organized jointly by IIEST Shibpur and NIT Meghalaya at IIEST campus. This initiative typically introduces the event as a key forum for researchers, engineers and policymakers to discuss global energy challenges, sustainable solutions and environmental impacts, focusing on clean energy, smart grids, decarbonization and promoting innovation for a net-zero future, bridging academia and industry to shape future research and policy in these vital fields. One of the old and pioneer institute of the nation IIEST Shibpur will conduct this prestigious conference this year in collaboration with another very promising young institute NIT Meghalaya.

The previous seven editions of ICEPE held in 2015, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 were successfully conducted at NIT Meghalaya, with all accepted papers now available in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Distinguished speakers will be invited to deliver keynote addresses and talks on emerging trends and major developments in cutting-edge technologies. Participants will gain exposure to the latest advancements, emerging trends and cutting-edge technologies in the field of energy, power, and environment through keynote addresses, paper presentations, and discussions to be held during this event.
